Baking with friends

Well, all I can say: it wasn’t exactly our fault. The dough was perfect (it was a semi instant dough, add some milk, eggs and butter/oil), the oven is one of those microwave-oven-grill-combinations  (which was supposed to work fine!!) and the muffins were supposed to bake for 20 minutes. We did everything like told on the outside of the pack, pre-heated the oven thingy and then added the muffins. After 5 minutes smoke was everywhere, kitchen, bathroom, living room – everywhere!!! and it was really impossible to cut any of them like a normal muffin – they were hard as stones. Killermuffins!!!! The inside looked like this:

The downside was still wet and somewhat creamy, the inside was burning and the top hard as a stone – have you ever seen something similiar?!

We had to get out and buy an anti-smoke candle which helped a bit with the smell but not 100% because if you ‘concentrate’ you can still smell the smoke, despite open windows and doors all day long!

I’m only gonna bake again with a real oven!
